Chery Gives Us A Taste Of What To Come With Its A5 Concept

For years now the Chery A5 has been in desperate need of a generation change. Known to have come out in 2006, Chery did not have a very good introduction to the market as it never stood out in the crowd with many pointing its outdated design as the reason to why it never really caused a stir.

However, all that is bound to change thanks to Chery’s new project. If we are to base Chery’s future on the concept that they presented during the Shanghai Auto Show then their future is really bright. Chery’s new A5 will look a lot more like a proper 2015 automobile. That said this news is without highly welcomed in China especially with those who are looking at buying into the segment.

Design wise the Chery concept of the new A5, which also comes with a Dodge Dart-like front end, is really good in fact we pretty much like everything about its design. That said it is good to note that this particular model might not be the one that you will find at your dealership. For instance the Chevy’s A5 rims will without a doubt not make into the dealership.

Just like the exterior of the car the interior looks really nice. That said there are features which you will not get when you purchase this car, for instance the car’s leather covered upper dash as well as the futuristic gear knob.

As at now we are still not sure as to what is under the hood, but if I was to base my decision by the current model, I would probably expect it to have a 1.6, 1.8 or a 2.0 liter petrol unit.
